Equal Opportunities Policy

Holbeck Elderly Aid seeks to provide a good working environment for all of its employees. This includes Equal Opportunities. This ensures that no employee or potential employee, trainee, or volunteer is discriminated against because of their race, gender, religious or political beliefs, sexual orientation, disability or age.

In carrying out this Equal Opportunities Policy, Holbeck Elderly Aid recognises its legal obligations under:

The Race Relations Act - No employee is discriminated against on the grounds of his or her race or colour.
The Sex Discrimination Act - No employee is discriminated against because of his or her gender.
The Equal Pay Act - Two people doing the same job will be paid the same regardless of his or her race, gender, religious or political beliefs, disability, or age.
The Disability Discrimination Act - No employee is discriminated against because they have some form of disability.

Holbeck Elderly Aid ensures that none of the following will be denied to anyone who may be included in the above categories:

Recruitment, training or promotion.
Access to facilities or any of the services that Holbeck Elderly Aid may provide.

Holbeck Elderly Aid expects all of its staff, committee members and volunteers to follow this policy. We will look to provide appropriate training to anyone who is employed by us. If there are any problems regarding this policy, please do not hesitate to contact the Project Co-ordinator.
